This requirement is for acquisition of (1) Leica VT1000S for sectioning 15 micron to 40 micron fresh fixed biological samples for electron microscopy analysis. USAMRIID Pathology division last purchased a Leica Vibratome in 1987. This is the only vibratome in the institute and it is decades beyond life expectancy. Therefore, in order to maintain our fully functionality and capability we seek to procure a new Leica VT1000S fully automated vibratome.
