THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. The Defense Health Agency intends to negotiate on a sole source basis (IAW FAR 13.501(a), Only One Responsible Source. The proposed source is: COSMED USA INC 1850 Bates AVE Concord, California 94520-1240 United States Los Angeles AFB, 61st Medical Squadron requires Service maintenance for: Bod Pod; Model: GS-X; Serial Number: 2021X047. BOD POD is an FDA approved 510(K) Class II Medical Device #K060848 categorized as an “Air Displacement Plethysmograph for Body Composition Analysis,” with the product classification code “OAC,” and MDL Canada Class II medical device. Repair, and performance testing with priority scheduling to include an annual pre-scheduled Calibration Service visit with certification, software updates and product/maintenance. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and non-personal services necessary to perform Bod Pod repair and maintenance services as defined in this Statement of Work. Period of Performance 6/1/2024 to 5/31/2025. There are not set-aside restrictions for this requirement. The intended procurement will be classified under North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) 811210. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document exists for this requirement. However, parties interested in responding to this notice will need to submit technical data sufficient to determine capability in providing the same product. All capability statements received by the closing date of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
