Notice of Intent to Sole Source THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. Reference #: HT941024N0030. The Defense Health Agency Contracting Activity (DHACA) Western Markets Contracting Division (WM-CD) intends award a firm fixed contract to a sole source basis COVIDIEN SALES LLC. The period of performance for the anticipated contract shall be for 5 years. The anticipated award will be made under the statutory authority permitting other than Full and Open Competition, FAR 13.501 (a), Sole Source Acquisitions. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 811210; the business size standard is 34 (millions of dollars). The objective of this sole source award is to provide Pulmonary department at Naval Medical Center San Diego(NMCSD) preventive maintenance services on (15) The Puritan Bennett™ 980 Ventilators. The Puritan Bennett™ 980 ventilator helps enable patients to breathe more naturally through some of the most innovative breath delivery technology available. This is a base plus four option year requirement. Services requirement listed in according with statement of work (SOW). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document exists for this requirement. Sources interested in responding to this notice are required to submit a capability statement that includes management and technical data and cost information, in sufficient detail and with convincing evidence that clearly demonstrations the capability to provide the supplies validated by COVIDIEN SALES LLC. Capability statements shall not exceed 6 (8.5 x 11 inch) pages using a font size no smaller than 10-point. All capability statements received by the due date of this notice will be considered by the Government. A request for documentation or additional information or submissions that only ask questions will not be considered as an affirmative response. A determination by the Government not to compete based on response to this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement or to proceed with a sole source BPA. Capability statements are due no later than 1000 PST on 02/08/2024.
