U. S. Naval Hospital Okinawa (USNHO) Japan performs diagnostic audiology testing from infants to geriatrics at the main hospital and outlying clinics on island. The equipment used to conduct these tests require annual calibration and maintenance not available from Biomed resources within the command. Annual calibration ensures audiometers comply with strict industry standards, as well as the manufacturer’s specific guidelines. Every test result must be based on the most accurate signal that can be obtained. Regular calibration of equipment ensures that the hearing level that is indicated by the audiometer complies the strict values that are set by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) or the product manufacturer’s specific references for hearing thresholds. US Naval Hospital Okinawa and its outlying clinics requires Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) certified technicians capable of providing annual calibration and potential corrective maintenance services (see attached Performance Work Statement) for the following Government-owned equipment: Periods of Performance: Base: 9/19/2023 – 9/18/2024 OPT 1: 9/19/2024 – 9/18/2025 OPT 2: 9/19/2025 – 9/18/2026 OPT 3: 9/19/2026 – 9/18/2027 OPT 4: 9/19/2027 – 9/18/2028
