Notice of Intent to Sole Source The Defense Health Agency intends to negotiate on a sole source basis (IAW FAR 13.501(a)), Only One Responsible Source. The proposed source is COX CALIFORNIA TELCOM, L.L.C. COX CALIFORNIA TELCOM, L.L.C. is the only source that can provide Cable TV and Internet/WiFi Services to Naval Medical Center San Diego and supported Branch Clinics. The objective of this sole source award for Naval Medical Center San Diego and supported Branch Clinics is to provide Cable Television and Internet Wi-Fi services to improve the overall patient experience and is to be procured by the DHA Contracting Office. The requirement is to provide 800+ cable television endpoint to provide a mixture of basic, expanded and hospitality channel lineups. This requirement will also provide NMCSD and supporting Branch Clinics with 240+ Wireless Access Points to be used in patient treatment areas, waiting rooms, hospital common areas and patient administration areas. This effort was created to improve the overall patient experience and increase NMCSD’s customer satisfaction IAW the performance work statement (PWS). This requirement is for one year service. The period of performance (POP) is as follow: POP: 08/01/2023 to 07/31/2024 There are not set-aside restrictions for this requirement. The intended procurement will be classified under North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) 517111, the business size standard is 41.5 (millions of dollars). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document exists for this requirement. However, parties interested in responding to this notice will need to submit technical data sufficient to determine capability in providing the same product. All capability statements received by the closing date of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
