The Defense Healthcare Management Systems Modernization (DHMSM) Program is seeking innovative AI/ML-enabled solutions to improve healthcare delivery and financial recovery across the Military Health System. The government intends to award one or more prototype Other Transaction Agreements (OTAs) through this competitive process. Two distinct capability areas are being solicited: Autonomous Coding (AC) for assigning medical billing codes without human intervention, and Automated Appeals & Denials Management (ADM) to address backlogged accounts receivable and automate appeal submissions. Industry partners may submit proposals for either capability individually or for both.
