The Defense Health Agency intends to award five sole-source contracts to Cerner Corporation (Oracle Health), Philips North America, American Well Corporation (Amwell), Henry Schein, Inc., and Solventum Health Information Systems for critical system components, software licensing, and specialized services supporting the MHS GENESIS environment. The transition to direct contracts targets completion by July 2026 for Philips and Amwell, November 2026 for Oracle Health, and July 2027 for Henry Schein and Solventum. Contracts will have a maximum duration of five years, with performance anticipated to begin no later than July 2027. This strategic shift moves away from a legacy integrator model to improve cost transparency, pricing visibility, and direct vendor management. The vendors are located in Kansas City, Missouri; East Cambridge, Massachusetts; Boston, Massachusetts; Melville, New York; and Murray, Utah.
