The Defense Health Agency (DHA) - Contracting Division - Defense Health Care Management Systems (CD-DHMS), in support of the Program Executive Office for Defense Healthcare Management Systems (PEO DHMS) Defense Healthcare Management System Modernization (DHMSM) Program Office intends to issue a sole source contract to Health Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Analytics of Chicago, Il to conduct assessments to collect, analyze, and distribute essential health IT data related to products, costs, metrics, trends and purchase decisions for the DoD Electronic Health Record (EHR). This will include the Electronic Medical Record Adoption Model Assessment and the HIMSS Usability-specific assessments. The Contractor will use the EMRAM tool to assess the clinical and business analytics capabilities and measure the adoption and utilization of the core Electronic Medical Records (EMR) functions required to achieve a near paperless environment that harnesses technology to optimize patient care and to uncover opportunities for improved utilization. In addition, the contractor will use the EMRAM tool to provide an independent, objective usability assessment that measures the user's capability to achieve a specific set of tasks effectively and efficiently.
