The Defense Health Agency (DHA), Healthcare Contracting Division Northeast (HCD-NE), on behalf of Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, intends to award a firm fixed price contract on a sole source basis to Getinge USA Sales, LLC (CAGE: 7Z1K6) 45 Barbour Pond DR. Wayne, New Jersey 07470-2094, United States. The anticipated award will be made under the statutory authority permitting Other than Full and Open Competition pursuant to 13.106-1(b)(1): “Soliciting from a Single Source for Purchases not exceeding the Simplified Acquisition Threshold” The contract is intended for the procurement of service contract for Maintenance and Repair Services on Operating Room Surgical Lights, Operating Room Ceiling Service Units, Fixed-Base Surgical Tables in the Hybrid ORs, and Mobile Surgical Tables. As the equipment manufacturer, Getinge is the sole-source supplier of factory authorized OEM (original equipment manufacturer) replacement parts and accessories for the equipment. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals or quotations. Requests for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledged. Phone calls will not be accepted. A determination by the Government to not compete this proposed action based upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether conducting a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government.
