Notice of Contract Action for Virtual PT Pilot Program
The Defense Health Agency (DHA) intends to award a sole-source contract to Sword Health, Inc. for a virtual physical therapy pilot, as no other source will satisfy agency requirements. The effort involves delivering musculoskeletal and pelvic floor physical therapy to active duty servicemembers and their families through DHA’s enterprise telehealth platform, fully remotely, using sensor-free technology, AI-enabled biomechanic feedback, digital/virtual patient engagement, and clinical oversight by licensed Doctors of Physical Therapy. The Government plans to extend the existing contract’s period of performance by six months, with an anticipated period of performance from September 30, 2026 through March 29, 2027. This is a Notice of Intent, not a solicitation or request for offers; no solicitation package is available. Interested parties may submit capability information showing clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government, but no reimbursement will be provided.
