This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The proposed contract action is for UpToDate Subscription services for which the Government is soliciting and negotiating with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i): “Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements”. The name of the company the Government intends to award a contract to is UpToDate, Inc. (230 3rd Ave Ste 1000, Waltham, MA 02451-7560, Cage Code: 1RLC2). A Firm Fixed Price contract is anticipated and shall be awarded. It is the Government's belief that only the proposed candidate possesses the required capabilities to successfully meet this requirement. It is the Government's intention to solicit and negotiate with only this source. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. It is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government.
