The Defense Health Agency intends to award a sole source continuation of services previously provided under contract HT001118C0005 to VMD System Integrators, Inc., for 6 months or less, to allow the agency sufficient time to complete the acquisition process for a competitive follow-on contract. The award is expected to include the clause at FAR 52.217-8, Option to Extend Services, for up to 6 additional months of services. Continued services provide strategic communications and outreach to support blood donation; study and analysis of program data; business process improvment; and information management, including operational data reporting and web site management. Firms not solicited under this requirement may request a copy of the solicitation, but are advised that the agency intends to authorize other than full and open competition under FAR 6.3. A copy of the justification will be posted no later than 14 days after contract award.
