The agency has an urgent need for these services and believes that delay could cause injury to the Government. The agency believes that GovCIO is the only capable contractor that can begin work immediately upon contract signature. In accordance with FAR 6.303-1(e), the agency will prepare a justification for this contract within a reasonable time after contract award, as preparation and approval prior to award would unreasonably delay this acquisition. This contract will be for a six-month performance period. During that period, DCSA will develop an alternate contract strategy to continue these services that does not rely upon the authority of FAR 6.302-2.
