The Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) is a component of the Department of Defense reporting to the Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness. DeCA operates a worldwide commissary system that provides quality grocery products at substantial savings to active duty military personnel and retirees, members of the Reserve and National Guard, and their families. DeCA’s mission is to deliver a vital benefit of the military pay system that sells grocery items at significant savings while enhancing quality of life and readiness. As a result of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2016, which requires DeCA to perform price comparisons throughout its stores to ensure that the baseline of savings, decided by the Secretary of Defense, is being met. The Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) seeks to acquire services for Linen/Mat Rental and Cleaning for one (1) Commissary location in Puerto Rico. Service shall be for a base year (September 1, 2023 through August 31, 2024) with four (4) one-year options. Services shall be weekly with pick-up and delivery based on the needs of the individual store location and will be coordinated with the contractor at time of award. Attached to this synopsis is a draft version of the Statement of Work (SOW) for this requirement, which include the commissary location and services required.
