The Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) seeks sources sought for the following commercial product (consumables): - Customized rolls of 1 ply, thermal paper, BPA free, (with QR code printed on the reverse side (see attachments), for use in point of sale terminals located at Defense Commissary agency military grocery stores, worldwide. DeCA’s commissaries are Government-owned facilities designed to operate similar to commercial retail supermarkets that provide food items and other merchandise for resale to the military and their families at a cost savings when compared to the same or similar products sold in the commercial retail markets. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. The Government requests all responsible sources respond to this notice in writing including details of your ability to provide this service to all locations. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This determination will be based upon the responses to this notice and is solely within the discretion of the Government. The requirement will be solicited as a 100% total small business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) is 325992 (Photographic Film, Paper, Plate, and Chemical Manufacturing) and with a small business size standard of 1500 employees. Requirements/Description of Thermal Receipt Tape: - The current thermal receipt tape is and the size is 3.11" x 230'. - The customer survey QR barcode must be pre-printed on the reverse of the tape as pictured in, and per the specifications listed on the attached example. - The tape must be compatible for use in both NCR Receipt Printer Model #s 7167 and 7169 as both have been fielded to our stores worldwide. - NCR qualified thermal paper is to be used on the thermal receipt print station to insure proper operation of the printer. - The paper must not be attached at the core. Otherwise the receipt station will be damaged when the paper is exhausted.
