The Government requests all responsible sources respond to this notice in writing including details of your ability to provide this service to all locations. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This determination will be based upon the responses to this notice and is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Defense Commissary Agency issues a sources sought notification for the following commercial products (consumables) for customized large size and small size labels - adhesive backed on an 8 1/2" x 11" sheet (landscape orientation). The requirement will be solicited as a 100% total small business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) is 322230 and with a small business size standard of 750 employees. Description of Requirement: Shelf labels: - The 8 1/2" x 11" sheets of top half-yellow/ bottom half-white lengthwise shelf labels must be available in the following two sizes and layout configurations: 1. - 18 per sheet landscape orientation labels measuring 3 1/4" wide x 1 3/8" high with six rows of three labels. 2. - 30 per sheet landscape orientation labels measuring 1 15/16" wide x 1 3/8" high with six rows of five labels. - The position of the labels must match the current layout as our printing software is based on that positioning. Each of our commissaries utilize the software DESIGN-R-LABELS by Retail Technologies Inc., used to print the labels. All labels are printed on a Lexmark MS725 laser printer with normal toner cartridges. - Labels must be adhesive backed as they are commonly used as inserts and as stickers. - Perforations must allow each label to be individually separated. Currently, a perforated border also exists at 3/8" on the short edge of each sheet and at 5/16" at the long edge of each sheet. This allows for the removal of all excess material. - Shipping to all stores worldwide must be available. Stores will be categorized into the following geographic sections: a. CONUS, b. Alaska & Hawaii, c. Puerto Rico, d. Europe, e. The Far East 1. Small Shelf Labels (Color Top of Label Half Yellow - Bottom of Label Half White - 30 labels per sheet (Position of Sheet - Landscape) 250 Sheets per Carton- 2. Large Shelf Labels(Color Top of Label Half Yellow - Bottom of Label Half White - 18 labels per sheet (Position of Sheet - Landscape) - 1000 sheets per carton- All of our commissaries utilize the software DESIGN-R-LABELS by Retail Technologies Inc., used to print the labels. All labels are printed on a Lexmark MS725 laser printer with normal toner cartridges. Each store will place their orders for labels directly with the vendor on an as needed basis, Stores will make their purchase via their Store Government Purchase Card. Firms may indicate their interest in this requirement by submitting a statement verifying that their company is capable of providing the requirement for these locations. Responses are welcome from small businesses. Responses shall be received within fourteen (14) calendar days of publication of this notice.
