The DINFOS requires a Blanket Purchase Agreement in order to efficiently be able to send Nikon specific equipment, to include but not limited to Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) Cameras, Mirror-less Cameras, Lenses, and Speedlights for repair. The DINFOS currently has two FTE basic camera technicians that perform operations checks; troubleshooting and minor repairs however, when damage is beyond their capability we have to send equipment out to Nikon for repair. This has typically been done on a case-by-case basis via GPC but there are times where we need to be able to send multiple items that may be over the GPC threshold for repair services.
