DFAS Infrastructure services require the capital sustainment expenditure to refresh end of life equipment and provide annual maintenance coverage on Local Area Network (LAN) backbone hardware and software purchased through this procurement. This requirement is for the purchase of DFAS expansion of its network environment using Cisco brand switches. This requirement is for replacement network switches. DFAS switches are going end of life and will not be able to comply with Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) notifications, which means that the switches will have to be turned off to comply with DoD mandates.
