This requirement is for the purchase of additional HP blade servers to replace servers that are end of life, this server hardware is already in place throughout DFAS and must be provided by the original equipment manufacturer or an authorized reseller. HP server blades are available from multiple resellers. The Skype application has demonstrated it’s inability to operate efficiently on virtualized hardware. At the Indianapolis site, Skype has already been migrated to physical HP blades servers and it increase the application stability. DFAS must have HP parts to fit into the existing HP enclosure, other parts will not fit or work, it is HP proprietary and must be replaced with like HP equipment. The period of performance for this requirement is from 7/01/21 - 6/30/22.
