Missile Defense Agency - 20 June Contract Announcement Coleman Aerospace (a wholly owned subsidiary of Aerojet Rocketdyne), Orlando, Florida is being awarded a $140,184,433 firm-fixed-price modification (P00114) to a previously awarded contract (HQ0147-14-C-0001). The value of this contract is being increased from $366,376,256.69 by $140,184,433.00 to $506,560,689.69 by exercising this option. Under this modification, the contractor will provide six additional Medium Range Ballistic Missile (MRBM) targets and associated nonrecurring engineering. The work will be performed in Orlando, Florida. The performance period is from June 2019 through December 2027. Fiscal 2019 research, development, test and evaluation funds in the amount of $22,469,742.00 are being obligated on this award. One offeror was solicited and one offer was received. This is a notification that the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) intends to issue a sole source, modification under statutory authority 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the Agency requirements without unacceptable delays. This modification will be issued to Aerojet Rocketdyne Coleman Aerospace (Coleman), 7675 Municipal Drive, Orlando, Florida, to reprice and extend the option period for production, integration, and launch support services for one Medium-Range Ballistic Missile (MRBM) target vehicle to support the MDA Integrated Master Test Plan and additional MRBM target vehicles through fiscal year 2027. This is a repricing effort for option vehicles that were previously awarded as part of a competitive procurement, but have since expired. Only Coleman is capable of delivering the target vehicles and associated support services without requiring significant additional non-recurring costs and unacceptable delays. This effort is currently being performed on contract HQ0147-14-C-0001. This notice is not a request for proposals. This action will result in a modification to the current contract, which is necessary to allow for support of critical MRBM test missions. Any information received as a result of this notice will be considered solely for enhancing competition in a future competitive procurement. The Government will not pay for information submitted.
