The purpose of this RFI is to survey only relevant institutions of higher learning for desired information. Request for Information for the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense (Research & Engineering) to review, assess, and recommend policy options to promote Department of Defense and defense industrial base collaboration in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education activities. Conference report (H. To this end, the study shall evaluate: Any existing or proposed DoD-industry collaborative STEM educational opportunities targeting all populations of learners, but particularly for veterans and military dependents; Identification of any existing or proposed DoD-industry collaborative opportunities to better position the current and next-generation workforce for defense-specific technical fields and STEM occupations (see supplemental materials for potential fields and occupations to consider); and Policy options to promote robust, sustainable DoD-industry partnerships that can support future workforce needs.
