Washington Headquarters Services (WHS) Acquisition Directorate (AD) is conducting market research to locate qualified, experienced and interested businesses from “all” sources including Other than Small Businesses, Small Businesses, 8(a) Small Businesses, HUBZone Small Businesses, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses, Women-Owned Small Businesses and Economically Disadvantaged Women-owned Small Businesses to provide DoD Publications Research & Writing Support Services for the Historical Office of the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD). Background The Historical Office of the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) dates back to 1949. It is one of the longest serving continuously operating offices in OSD and has been recognized for the excellence of its publications and programs for over a half a century. The Publications Program within the Historical Office seeks contractor support to research and write Volume XV in the Secretaries of Defense Historical Series. In order to proactively plan for future requirements, WHS/AD is conducting market research to locate qualified, experienced, and interested parties who have the capability to provide Publications Research & Writing Support Services. This Sources Sought Notice is not a Request For Quote (RFQ) nor does it restrict the Government as to the final acquisition strategy. No contract will be awarded from this announcement. No reimbursement will be made for any cost associated with providing information in response to this announcement. At this time, no solicitation exist.
