Amendment to SSN Question #!: In the main Sources Sought document, Section II, item #20, the ingestion of ".adx" files is specifically called out. So that we can confirm whether or not we are able to ingest .adx files as used by DOD, at the very least we seek a file type description. We'd be grateful if any additional information could be provided that explains how .adx files are used at DOD, exported and what makes this data discoverable. Answer: Certain DoD elements use FOIAXpress/RedactXpress to manage and process records responsive to FOIA requests. This program utilizes a proprietary .adx format for processing. Files are imported from .pdf into the program and output back into .pdf prior to release to requesters. We anticipate that an eDiscovery solution that can ingest the .adx files would reduce the processing timelines for the components that utilize these software applications, especially as many of our litigation cases also involve FOIA requests.
