The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the acquisition of brokering services as an avenue for NGA to purchase off the shelf geophysical data from external sources in areas of the world where NGA currently has gaps in data coverage. Desired data types include but not limited to: magnetic, seismic reflection data, soils data, hydrographic data, and well log data. These types of data are useful in the modeling process and should be considered for purchase in addition to gravity data. This effort is designed to streamline and expedite the data acquisition process. NGA is therefore seeking a contractor to serve as a Trusted Broker in data purchasing agreements. Services provided by the Trusted Broker include: data brokering, data virus scanning, and basic data validation. The Trusted Broker shall conduct brokering activities that include: Establishing contact with companies that sell desired data. Negotiate with companies to purchase geophysical data of desired type, in desired geographic area, and competitively priced. The total anticipated period of performance is a 2 year ordering period plus 3 one-year optional ordering periods. The solicitation will be issued under full and open competition. The applicable NAICS code is 541611 and the Product Service Code is R499. The Government intends to award a single award IDIQ service contract utilizing FAR Part 15 Lowest Price Technically Acceptable source selection procedures.
