The purpose of this notice is to publicly synopsize a requirement for the Air Cooled Chiller Replacement project based on the following scope: The scope of work is to replace air-cooled chiller ACH-4, associated piping, valves, electrical feeders, controls, structural, architectural and other miscellaneous components. Perform commissioning to confirm proper functioning of the chiller and integration into the existing HVAC system. The old air-cooled chiller ACH-4 will be demolished and removed from service. All work per the project specifications, drawings, and accompanying contract documents. The materials are specified on the drawings. There are not alternates. The work shall be performed by an experienced contractor with the expertise to perform the requirement with experience in commercial construction, concrete and metal fabrication. This effort shall be set aside for small business under NAICS code 238220 Plumbing, Heating and Air-Conditioning Contractors. This will be an IFB. The contract performance period shall be 425 calendar days. Once notice to proceed is issued, the first 30 days is offsite performance. This time is set aside for the preparation of submittals, Government review of submittals and ordering materials and equipment. The approximate cost of the project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The work is located at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency facilities at 3838 Vogel Rd in Arnold, MO. The Request for Proposals will be posted on or about July 25, 2024.
