The purpose of this notice is to publicly synopsize a requirement for the replacement of hot water lines based on the following scope: The scope of work includes the repair by replacement of facility heating hot water piping on all floors and roof of the building. Piping to be replaced includes all piping with grooved-joint fittings in the range from 2-1/2" to 6" diameter. Work under this contract will occur in secure area and shall comply with the security requirements. The work shall be performed by an experienced mechanical pipe fitting contractor with expertise in replacing hot water piping. This effort shall be set aside for small business under NAICS code 238220 – Plumbing, heating, and A/C contractors. The contract performance period shall be 292 calendar days. The heating system shall only be out of service between the dates of March 15 and October 15. The heating hot water system must be returned to service, with all existing hydronic heating equipment supplied by heating hot water no later than October 15. The approximate cost of the project is between $500,000 and $2,000,000. The work is located at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency facilities at 3838 Vogel Rd in Arnold, MO. The Invitation for Bids will be posted on or about July 06, 2021.
