***This is a pre-solicitation, the opportunity to submit a proposal in response to this Request for Quote (RFQ) will be posted on beta.sam.gov on or before July 13, 2020*** DoDEA requires seat-based licenses for K-8 online courses that will be taught by DoDEA teachers in order to (1) provide core elementary and middle school courses and electives during the school year and summer and (2) support blended learning opportunities in DoDEA’s brick-and-mortar schools. DoDEA estimated seat licenses per semester and per year is expected to be four core courses and one elective for each K-8 student. Elementary School (K-5) Courses: DoDEA requires six levels of English language arts, mathematics, social studies, and science. For the electives, DoDEA requires such courses as keyboarding, art, music, and physical education for each grade. Middle School (6-8) Courses: DoDEA requires three levels of English language arts, mathematics, and science. For social studies, DoDEA requires The Eastern Hemisphere (G6), History of the United States I (G7), and History of the United States II (G8). For the electives, DoDEA requires such courses as computer skills, art, music, and physical education courses for each grade 6-8. Summer School (K-8) Option: Based on the pandemic situation and other factors, DoDEA may offer 4-week long summer courses in English language arts/reading, mathematics—nine levels each. DoDEA may also offer one elective course for K-5 students and one elective for 6-8 students. These Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) courses will be taught by DoDEA teachers
