REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) - SOURCES SOUGHT Pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10, the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) Procurement Office is currently conducting market research to identify companies capable of and qualified to provide bus driver services to include daily commuting, special needs, extended school year commuting, curricular, co-curricular, and administrative management services in the Pacific South District, Okinawa Military Community in Japan. Prospective contractor(s) shall provide all personnel, supervision, services, and equipment necessary to transport students and other authorized individuals safely to and from their designated schools and alternate sites for classes and authorized school activities, to include after-school activity runs, career practicum, or other curricular shuttle runs. The period of performance for these services, with an anticipated start date of 1 August 2021, will include a base period with four (4) 12-month option periods. This Request for Information (RFI) is issued solely for conducting market research and does not constitute a Request for Proposals (RFP), Invitation for Bids (IFB), Request for Quotations (RFQ), and does not obligate the Government to any current or future commitments. The Government will not pay/reimburse any costs or charges resulting from contractors’ responses to this RFI. If your firm is interested, capable, and qualified to provide these services, please submit written information supporting this capability. Capability statements shall consist of no more than 5 pages and include a cover page with the company’s name, business mailing address, point of contact, telephone number, Duns & Bradstreet Number (DUNS), and Commercial And Government Entity/NATO Code (CAGE/NCAGE). Please note that vendors are required to be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database at the time an offer/quotation/proposal is submitted in order to comply with the annual representations and certifications requirements. Therefore, only businesses with an active SAM registration will be eligible to receive any resultant contract(s) with the Department of Defense Education Activity.
