THIS NOTICE IS PUBLISHED FOR MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY AND IN NO WAY OBLIGATES THE GOVERNMENT TO ISSUE A SOLICITATION OR OTHERWISE MAKE A CONTRACT AWARD. Any and all information submitted in response to this synopsis is voluntary. The Government will not pay for any information submitted in response to this notice. The Government reserves the right to use information provided by respondents for any purpose deemed necessary and legally appropriate. Any organization responding to this notice should ensure that its response is complete and sufficiently detailed to allow the Government to determine the organization’s qualifications to perform the work. Telephonic inquiries will NOT be accepted. Please make sure to repsond to this RFI in writing. Respondents are advised that the Government is under no obligation to acknowledge receipt of the information received or provide feedback to respondents with respect to any information submitted. After a review of the responses received, DTRA may issue a synopsis and a Request for Proposal (RFP). However, responses to this notice will not be considered adequate responses to a solicitation which may be published in the future. Background/Capabilities Sought: The Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) at Fort Belvoir, VA is seeking information from potential sources that can design a curriculum that promotes active engagement and idea sharing from up-and-coming individuals from the nuclear engineering or science fields. The attached Performance Work Statement is an example of the elements of the curriculum but the requirements may further change after DTRA receives feedback resulting from this RFI. This requirement is anticipated to be unclassified. DTRA seeks information from Government or commercial vendors who have the following capabilities: 1. A deep understanding of the nuclear engineering or science field; 2. Experience with professional development of students at the Masters or Ph.D level; 3. Ability to design a curriculum for mid-career nuclear engineers/scientists; 4. Ability to arrange all logistics needs, such as hosting seminars, conferences, meetings; 5. Ability to stand-up an interactive website to share and receive information; 6. Ability to compile and print the capstone papers written by participants; 7. Ability to create a digital library of all curriculum materials, participant submissions, etc. Vendor Response: Vendors are invited to submit written capabilities to the Government to: 1. Express interest in requirements that contain the above requirements; 2. Describe the vendor’s experience in this field and/or in designing curriculums of this nature; 3. Identify any existing Federal contract vehicles the vendor may have that is available for DTRA’s use. 4. Identify any aspects of the requirements/capabilities that cannot be met and/or any issues/concerns with the requirements as stated. Vendor responses should also include the following information: 1. Company name, Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) code, Unique Entity ID (UEID) number, and your North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) economic activity number(s) related to this synopsis. 2. Name of authorized company representative(s) with title(s), mailing address, phone number(s), and e-mail address(es). 3. If the vendor is a small business concern, please identify your socio-economic category.
