This contract shall establish evidence-based public health surveillance frameworks in Iraq. Outcomes of this project will support the GoI with development of an adequate framework to support the detection, assessment, and reporting of disease events, regardless of origin, consistent with the obligations of IHR. The proposed project will coordinate implementation of IHR core capacities throughout Iraq by linking IHR focal points within relevant ministries to the existing inter-ministerial IHR Technical Committee.
