The description of the extension to this task order is to provide for the test and evaluation (T&E) of the technical performance of nuclear and radiation technologies, algorithms, prototypes and products as to their sensitivity to detection and fidelity of isotopic identification under a variety of conditions, including shielding and masking, that emulate scenarios considered representative of actual nuclear threats. The principal goal of the T&E program is to evaluate the performance of radiation detection instruments including “commercial off the shelf” (COTS), “government off the shelf” (GOTS) and prototypical instruments.
