A Justification and Approval (J&A) was approved to award a sole source modification to a contract to Leidos, Inc. This effort was to procure a six-month extension to the Biological Threat Reduction Program (BTRP) Scientific & Technical Engagement Partnership (STEP) Program. The extension will permit completion of in-progress technical directives (TDs) in three lines of effort: Biological Safety & Security (BS&S) capacity building; Disease Surveillance, Detection, Diagnosis, and Reporting (DSDDR); and Cooperative Biological Research (CBR).
