This sources sought notice HDEC05-19-R-1023 announces the upcoming industry day for the UPC-based inventory program at the Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA). It will enable DeCA to further engage industry in order to refine the future UPC-based inventory program to be used at various commissary locations throughout the world and ensure a competitive acquisition strategy is developed. This is continued market research under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10. This is NOT a request for proposal (RFP) or request for quote (RFQ). No solicitation document exists at this time. This notice constitutes no Government obligation to procure these items or issue a solicitation. In addition, the Government has no obligation to pay for information provided in response to this notice and will not accept any responses as offers. Defense Commissary Agency Enterprise Acquisition Division, in conjunction with Defense Commissary Agency Resource Management and Store Operations, will host an industry day event on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 and Wednesday, October 24, 2018, at the Defense Commissary Agency Headquarters, 1300 E Ave, Fort Lee, VA 23801.
