Synopsis: The Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) is a component of the Department of Defense reporting to the Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness. DeCA operates a worldwide commissary system that provides quality grocery products at substantial savings to active duty military personnel and retirees, members of the Reserve and National Guard, and their families. DeCA's mission is to deliver a vital benefit of the military pay system that sells grocery items at significant savings while enhancing quality of life and readiness. Trash Removal Services are needed at the multiple locations listed, with the potential that each location may be awarded separately, at Camp Lejeune MCB Commissary, NC; Fort Wainwright Commissary, AK; March ARB Commissary, CA; and the New River MCAS Commissary, NC. The Period of Performance will be for a base period starting October 1, 2019 through September 30, 2020 and will include four one-year options that may extend performance through September 30, 2024. This Request for Quote (RFQ) will be issued on/or about September 6, 2019 with a tentative closing date of September 20, 2019. This acquisition is being issued as unrestricted with full and open competition. Multiple awards are possible. This synopsis has 3 Attachments: 1) The Statement of Work for this requirement, 2) List of the commissary addresses/locations needing trash/waste removal services and 3) Past Performance Survey to be sent by contractor's current business references. Contractors must be actively registered with the System for Award Management (SAMs) system under the specified NAICS code 562111 - Solid Waste Collection.
