Baker, 804-734-8000 x86257 • Location – Place of Performance: Group 3: Yuma, China Lake, Edwards, Fort Irwin, and Twentynine Palms Synopsis of Requirement: Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and repair on government owned Miscellaneous Food Processing (MFP) Equipment as required for the Group 3 Commissaries. MFP consists of meat saws, mixer/ grinder systems (single and tandem),rotary roll-in oven (electric and gas single rack), mini-rotary oven with proofer, meat conveyor, meat chopper table, meat molder/bulker, meat tenderizer table, meat cleaver, meat slicer and roll-in proofers (one and two door). The Period of Performance is one year from date of award (base period) with two one-year option periods. The solicitation and resulting contract will include Firm Fixed Price (FFP) line items for PM and Time and Materials (T&M) line items for unscheduled repairs. The Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued on May 15, 2020 with a tentative closing date of June 15, 2020. By submission of an offer, the offeror acknowledges the requirement that an offeror must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database when submitting a proposal and include listing NAICS Code 811310 in the database prior to award of any contract resulting from this solicitation. This Sources Sought Synopsis is in support of Market Research being conducted by the Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) to identify potential sources, and to determine if this effort can be competitive or be Set-Aside for Small Business. The proposed North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is 811310 which has a corresponding Size Standard of 500 employees. The proposed PSC code is 9950. The Government will use this information to determine the best acquisition strategy for this procurement. The Government is interested in all businesses to include 8(a), small business and small disadvantaged business, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Hubzone, and Women-Owned small business concerns. The Government requests that interested parties respond to this notice if applicable and identify your small business status to the identified NAICS code. Additionally, the contractor is asked to provide a description of similar products offered to the Government and/or to like commercial customers within the past 3 years. This Sources Sought is to notify companies that the Defense Commissary Agency is seeking sources for a hybrid FFP and T&M maintenance contract for miscellaneous food processing equipment in DeCA commissaries that do not currently have a maintenance contract on this type of equipment. Award will be made for a base year and 2 option years.
