THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE SYNOPSIS ONLY; NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS SYNOPSIS. The Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) is seeking a small business concerns and /or small businesses who are capable of meeting the requirements listed below in providing a full line of fresh fruits and vegetables (FF&V) to 42 military commissary stores geographically located in the states of Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Virginia, Wisconsin, and Washington, DC. The proposed NAICS for this acquisition is 311991, which sets the small business threshold at 500 employees. DeCA is a DOD agency, headquartered at Fort Lee, VA and operates a worldwide chain of commissaries to provide groceries to military personnel, retirees and their families. The attached form is a request for industry feedback. We encourage your input in completing this form. This is for informational purposes only and is not a solicitation for offers. We encourage companies to explore the possibility of creating "teaming" arrangements with other companies and competing in the upcoming solicitation or inquire with other companies on subcontracting possibilities. After collection of this feedback, a notice will be issued via the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website to announce the subsequent issuance of a formal solicitation which will also be posted in the same FBO venue.
