DISH Network provides DISA/JSP customer signals from a satellite dish located on the roof of the Pentagon. The signal from the satellite dish is encrypted when it arrives on the JSP closed network. It is decrypted, processed, and sent over fiber optic cables to various nodes within the building and surrounding locations. The signal is then converted from light (fiber) to an RF (coaxial cable) and dispersed throughout the various locations and offices. The Pentagon and NCR services approximately 3800 customers through two existing DISH Network accounts. However, JSP is seeking to combine the two accounts into one account. The services are maintained by DISA/JSP Pentagon Video Services, Cable Television (JP643). DISH network does not have a valid Commercial and Government Entity and in order for DISH to provide communication service to the Government they must go through a third-party industry
