This is an informational notice, not a formal solicitation, regarding the U.S. Special Operations Command's intent to extend the ordering period for the Family of Tactical Helmet Systems (FTHS) contract with Gentex Corporation in Simpson, PA. The current contract expires on 11 August 2026, and the ordering period will be extended by 12 months until 10 August 2027. The extension allows additional time for an ongoing Other Transaction Authority prototype project competition for FTHS Ground Ballistic Helmets. All responsible sources may submit capability statements demonstrating their ability to execute the requirement. Responses must be sent in writing via email to the specified government contacts.
