Synopsis: Upon approval of the required Justification and Approval, the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) intends to negotiate and award a sole source firm fixed price contract under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 for a six week (31 workday) period from Aug 2 through September 16, 2020. The overall objective of this effort is to provide continued acquisition management and procurement support to SOF AT&L Acquisition Operations Division, with specific focus on the Syrian Train and Equip effort and 127e & 1202 CONOPs. Transitioning to another vendor for this short duration would cause a degradation in mission support with short duration contractor workforce turbulence that would adversely impact the support provided to the Government under the subject contract. While the base six week period is the currently anticipated PoP required, the Government will include optional one-month periods from September 17, 2020 through 1 Feb 2021 pursuant to FAR 52.217-9 -- These option inclusions are not intended to be executed at this time. The base six week period for this action will allow the agency sufficient time to complete the acquisition process for a competitive follow-on contract. This notice is not a request for competitive offers. A solicitation will not be available for this requirement. The intent of this notice is for informational purposes only.
