In accordance with FAR 5.101(a)(1), 5.201, and 13.106, this is a notice of intent to award a sole-source contract and is not a request for proposals. Special Operations Command, Pacific (SOCPAC)/ Business Operations Division, Camp H.M. Smith, HI, intends to award a sole-source contract to the Alterg, Inc. to provide their Via platform anti-gravity treadmill to be used for physical rehabilitation in support of the SOCPAC enterprise. The proposed contract is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government to not compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government, and information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government will not be responsible for paying for any of the costs incurred and associated with the development of any responses submitted to this posting.
