The U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), Technology Application Contracting Office (TAKO) anticipates contracting on a sole source basis with Hoffman Engineering LLC, 8 Riverbend Drive, Dock 8B Stamford, CT 06907 (CAGE: 06097) Radar Altimeter Remote Readout (PN 723-1271-001) used on US Special Operations Aircraft. The intended award will be a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Purchase Order. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 13.501, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Government does not possess and cannot furnish the technical data required to develop engineering descriptions, technical data packages, or specifications necessary to permit full and open competition. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. The proposed contract action is a notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all capabilities statements or proposals received within the closing date set in this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
