THIS IS NOT A NOTICE OF SOLICITATION ISSUANCE, BUT RATHER A SOURCES SOUGHT that will allow the Government to identify interested sources capable of meeting the requirement. The information sought herein is for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a request for quote (RFQ), Request for proposal (RFP), Invitation for Bid (IFB), or as an obligation or commitment on the part of the Government to acquire any product or service. There shall be no basis for claims against the Government as a result of information submitted in response to the Sources Sought. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this Sources Sought, or otherwise pay for any information submitted by respondents to this request. This notice is for market research purposes only and is not indicative of a full requirement. The United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), Technology Application Contracting Office (TAKO) anticipates contracting on a sole source basis with Product Support, Inc., 8331 Bristol Court, Jessup , MD 20794-9678 (CAGE 53247). The proposed award will be a contract for 8 (eight), new Ground Pressure Fuel Servicing Adaptors. The supply NSN: 4930-00-671-8086. This procurement requires IUID. The intended award will result in a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) purchase order. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 13.501, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Government does not possess and cannot furnish the technical data required to develop engineering descriptions, technical data packages, or specifications necessary to permit full and open competition. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. The proposed contract action is a notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all capabilities statements or proposals received within the closing date set in this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The North American Industrial Classification Code is 336413; the business size is 1000 employees. All interested, capable, and responsible sources that would like to respond to this synopsis are encouraged to provide a statement of interest along with supporting documentation to Mr. James Drak, Contract Specialist (james.m.drak.civ@socom.mil) no later than 12:00 pm EST on 23 February 2022. Once the sources sought requirement has closed, the Government will contact individual responders for any further information required.
