THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. The Technical Applications Contracting Office, Ft. Eustis, VA is seeking information on potential firms qualified to provide a quotation on a future purchase. The proposed award will be a purchase order for an engine inlet barrier filter (EIBF), a component of the aircraft's engine subsystem, currently fielded on US Special Operations Aviation aircraft, with the following objectives: (1) Reduce the maintenance burden associated with operations in high sand and dust environments; (2) Procure a lighter EIBF solution for the aircraft operating a unique YT-706 engine configuration. The NAICS code for this procurement is 336413. Any information submitted is voluntary. Request interested firms submit (1) the NAME, ADDRESS, and PHONE NUMBER of the firm (including CAGE code); (2) the respondents name and contract information, to include phone number and email address; (3) a summary of their product, and (4) their BUSINESS SIZE STATUS to Andrew.L.Davis2.civ@mail.mil. Responses to this notice will assist the Government in identifying potential sources. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation. All information received in response to this RFI that is marked Proprietary will be handled accordingly. Responses to the RFI will not be returned. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI.
