Naval Special Warfare Command (NSWC) has a requirement for Parachute Designs Optimum Main and Optimum Reserve parachute systems. The acquisition will be conducted in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Supart 13 – Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This acquisition will not utilize any small business set-aside, due to the proprietary nature of the Optimum Main and Optimum Reserve parachute systems. Any resulting request for quote (RFQ) will be sole sourced to Parachute Designs of Deland, FL (CAGE 0VBY7). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this effort is 314910 and the Small Business Size Standard is 500 employees. The Government intends to award a purchase order for six (6) Optimum Main and five (5) Optimum Reserve Parachutes Designs parachute systems. This synopsis shall not be construed as a formal request for quote not an obligation on the part of the Government to enter into a contractual agreement for any supplies/services.
