DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Project work consists of Project work consists of maintenance dredging in the Federal navigation channel of Naples to Big Marco Pass. The work entailed in this project consists of dredging the shoaled areas in Gordon Pass and the adjoining settling basin with upland disposal of excavated material in the designated beach placement area south of the inlet. The project work is divided into a Base Bid and 2 Options. Dredging areas shall incorporate an additional 2 feet allowable over-depth beyond the required depths shown on the plans. Work also includes turbidity monitoring, vibration monitoring and control, and endangered species monitoring. Magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00 The contractor shall provide a letter on company letterhead identifying the dredge(s) the contractor proposes to do the work and the current location of dredge(s). Note: Any type of dredge can be utilized, however if a cutter suction is selected it must be a 16" or larger. The request for proposal will be issued on or about 18 February 2020 and proposals will be due on or about 17 March 2020. The award of the task order will be made on the basis of Lowest Price Technical Acceptable (LPTA); for LPTA the technical evaluation factors are availability of technically acceptable plant and equipment and past performance.
