The 673d Contracting Squadron at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER), Alaska, intends to award a firm fixed price, single-source contract to BIOMERIEUX , INC., DURHAM NC, under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). The proposed contract action is for the acquisition of regularly scheduled preventive maintenance and calibration (on- site) for a Vitek 2 Microbial Identification System located at the 673 Medical Group, Joint Base Elmendorf- Richardson, Alaska. The 673 Medical Group requires a maintenance and service agreement that provides all personnel, equipment, tools, test equipment, transportation, parts, materials, supervision and other items and services necessary to perform preventive maintenance and calibration (on-site) for the Vitek 2 Microbial Identification System serial number VTK25298. Period of Performance Base Year: 01 Aug 2023 - 31 Jul 2024 Option Year 1: 01 Aug 2024 - 31 Jul 2025 Option Year 2: 01 Aug 2025 - 31 Jul 2026 Option Year 3: 01 Aug 2026 - 31 Jul 2027 Option Year 4: 01 Aug 2027 - 31 Jul 2028 The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition for this simplified acquisition is FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES AND NO SOLICITATION IS AVAILABLE. The circumstances of this contract action deem one single source is reasonably available to fulfill the stated requirement. Interested organizations, who believe they can meet the requirement, may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the requirement in writing to john.gosh@us.af.mil and george.strand@us.af.mil not later than 2:00 PM, AKDT, Friday, 28 April 2023. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Oral communications will not be accepted in response to this notice. No request for proposals or quotes will be issued based upon this Notice of Intent.
