This is a nonpersonal services requirement supporting DHA’s staffing and management of Referral Management Centers (RMCs) at 42 Air Force installations across CONUS, Alaska, and Hawaii. Each RMC serves as a central clearinghouse for providers and patients seeking referral information or assistance and handles disposition of all referrals. RMC personnel advise patients on healthcare benefits and coordinate with referring providers and the Managed Care Support Contractor to validate referral accuracy and ensure appropriate care disposition. The work is critical to DoD and DHA healthcare delivery, supporting the patient-centered medical home model, optimizing MTF clinical specialty capabilities, and maintaining expeditionary medicine readiness and currency.
