This notice is not a solicitation. This announcement serves as a sources sought notice for the upcoming competitive acquisition for the United States Air Force Academy Cadet Compressions Shorts (Men's and Women's) requirement. The United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) issues clothing and uniform items to cadets throughout their tenure at USAFA. The compression shorts are part of the Cadet's clothing issue. The compression shorts must be made in accordance with the attached specifications "Shorts Compression MNS_WMNS". The Buy American Act DFARS 252.225-7001 will apply to this acquisition. The Government will not provide Government Furnished Material (GFM); the contractor will be responsible for procuring all materials to manufacture the swimsuits. A first article will be required in accordance with FAR 52.209-4 Alt 1. The government intends to solicit a firm-fixed price contract. The required estimated quantities are as follows (exact quantities and sizes will be included with the award): 0001 Shorts Compression MNS 2,000 each 0002 Shorts Compression WMNS 1,320 each Delivery is FOB Destination to USAF Academy, CO 80840.
