The current status of vibration test systems in NSWC IHD, Naval PHS&T Division, Code G1, of the Systems Integration Department includes four Unholtz-Dickie systems. The vibration test system described in this document will replace two of the four current systems. Operational efficiency is maintained by the interoperability of the systems. Vibration controllers can be interchanged between systems when necessary, in order to mitigate maintenance, and other operational issues, and eliminate down time. Vibration profiles can be transferred between systems because the same software is utilized for all the systems. Measured data can be transferred between systems, as well, allowing for data aggregation and analysis. System congruity also allows for a single set of hardware (signal conditioners, etc.) to be maintained for all systems. Unholtz-Dickie, the Original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of the vibration shaker system, is the sole vendor of newly manufactured Unholtz-Dickie vibration test systems. The vibration shaker system has configurable features and is built to order.
