Bldg 1300 Set-aside Status: The intent is to set-aside for 100% Women-Owned Small Businesses. Final set-aside status will be reflected in a resulting solicitation. Describe the proposed work in sufficient detail to disclose the nature and volume of work (in terms of physical characteristics and estimated price range) (see 36.204): Between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Include tentative dates for issuing invitations (25 AUG 2022), opening bids (26 SEP 2022), and completing contract performance (TBD). State where plans will be available for inspection without charge: Specifications and Drawings will be included in a resulting solicitation. Specify a date by which requests for the invitation for bids should be submitted: 25 AUG 2022 10:00 AM AKDT. Description: The purpose of this project is the renovation of Building 1300. The facility was constructed in 1961 to be a Combat Alert Cell and approximately 25,126 square feet. The center core area is a three-story living space with two bays on each side of the core. The center core and Bays 3 and 4 have been used as Fire Station 3. The facility was never designed to be used as a temporary satellite firehouse. This construction will make the necessary modifications to accommodate the current satellite firehouse need. The constriction will renovate the approximately 4,600 square feet center living portion of the facility to all for up to six firefighting personnel reside at the facility for shift work. The center core improvements shall include new flooring, energy efficient windows, exterior personnel doors, replacement of ceiling and wall finishes.
